Bosch Power Tools: 3/8" Variable Speed Drill

I'm a self-proclaimed "do-it-yourself" at home and in my garage.  Before I call a repairman, my learned skills with wood working, electronics, and building encourages me to get the job done.  But, it has to be with the right equipment.

I finally got fed up with my cordless drills battery woes and decided to get a corded drill for a reliable backup.  CSN stores offers a wide variety of power tools and had a great selection of basic 3/8" variable speed drills to choose from.  I wanted dependability at a reasonable price, I decided that  the Bosch Power Tools - 3/8" Variable Speed Drill 6277-02 was what I wanted.  However, the image for this drill was not a Bosch Drill, I was a little confused, but learned that Bosch Power Tools manufactures under the Skil nameplate.  I took the time to look up this Skil drill on the Skil tools website and after some hemming and hawing, the drill met all my requirements (price, dependability, brand).

So now I've got it and boy does it drill, there is definitely no comparing the power and speed of a corded drill to a cordless.  Sure it is convenient not to be tethered to an extension cord but over the past ten years I've collected 4 cordless drills that last 2 to 3 years until the battery loses its gusto and then it's cheaper to buy a new one rather than replace the battery.  I'm loving this drill, wood masonry metal it does not matter.  Plus this drill works just fine driving screws, once you remember that you don't need to drive screws at 1000 rpm, the variable speed trigger allows you plenty of control.

I would consider buying tools from CSN stores again and overall I'am satisfied with my experience.  I do have some concerns that I didn't really know exactly what I ordered.
We were sent product for honest review.
